Used steels
Due to the growing demand for special cutters and knives, the following steel grades have been added to the existing grades: K110; K190 RM and S390 RM. The following types of high-speed steels are used for the production of disc cutting cutters for metal cutting.

Anterior angle of the tooth
Disc cutting cutters are manufactured with standard tooth angles:
HSS-With 5% y = 12°±2°, a = 8±2°These standard tooth angles are suitable for cutting conventional steels and alloys.
For cutting other steels, it is recommended to use special tooth angles shown in the table.
HSS-Co 5%, special tooth angles

Tooth shapes

It is usually used for solving tasks such as sawing bronze alloys, jewelry blanks, as well as for cutting key holes.
It is mainly used for cutting pipes and profiles. There are 45° chamfers on the side surfaces of the teeth, so that the chips break in two places and are easily removed from the cutting area.
It is used for processing thin-walled pipes and profiles, especially there. where chip removal occurs without much difficulty.
It is used for cutting blanks of solid section and thick-walled pipes. The chips break in three places, due to the presence of a stripping tooth without a facet and a cesspool tooth with two chamfers on the side surfaces.
It is used for cutting pipes. Cutters with this tooth shape have chip breakers, which guarantees a larger number and better quality of cuts and increases the durability of the Cutter by up to 20%.
The application of the Aw tooth profile is the opposite of the A profile. Alternatively, this tooth profile is made with beveled chamfers in order to optimize chip grinding. Such a tooth profile is especially applicable for precise sawing.
Cutting speeds for disc cutting cutters
Recommended cutting speeds in m/min for disc cutters with diameters from 175 to 600 mm coated with HP-GRIND and VAPO for cutting various materials:
