Metalworking machines are used for processing metal parts.
There are three types of machine tools: gear milling, milling and turning.
Each type of machine has common components:
- support;
- the bed;
- the headstock;
- tailstock;
- motorspindel.
In order for the production processes on the machines to take place without difficulties and in comfortable conditions, they are equipped with a control panel.
Thanks to it, it is possible to control all production operations for processing metal parts.
Gear Milling Machine
This type of equipment must necessarily be installed in any industrial workshop.
With its help, workers perform labor–intensive and heavy metalworking operations - they create gears.
The machine is also used to perform:
- drilling;
- Countersinking;
- milling operations;
- endings of metal parts;
- thread cutting.
Gear milling machines are equipped with powerful electric motors.
With the help of them and multi-pass worm cutters, they work at an increased productive mode.
This type of equipment is used for tangential, diagonal, axial and radial-axial milling.
Milling machine
A milling machine is an equipment with which the following production operations take place as:
- turning;
- grinding;
- cutting;
- processing;
- drilling holes of the required size.
On such a device, it is also possible to carry out many other production operations with blanks made of different materials: ceramics, metal, plastic, wood, stone.
In production workshops, the milling machine is also used for turning and boring surfaces in the form of a cylinder and a cone.
It is used as a standard for processing flat and shaped surfaces.
Turning machine
The lathe is an integral part of the metalworking industry.
It is used for:
- Sharpening;
- drilling of metal parts;
- the design of the ends.
The parts are processed by rotating and cutting metal workpieces.
According to technical data, the equipment can be of two classes: industrial and household.
Both types of machine have a standard set of components, but each of them is also equipped with individual components and characteristics.
