On average, the speed in the range of 4500-7500 feet per minute is considered normal.
Most band saws work at this speed, but other indicators are acceptable.
To increase the efficiency of the machine, most often they do not change the sawing speed, but the feed.
There is a special formula that calculates the sawing speed.
To do this, a constant number "PI" is multiplied, an indicator of the speed of rotation of the pulley, as well as its diameter (expressed in feet).
